The DoD supports the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout (GASO) Nov. 17 by encouraging military personnel, family members, retirees and everyone to walk away from tobacco for 24 hours. GASO is the American Cancer Society's nationally recognized day that rallies thousands of smokers to quit smoking for a day.
